Every meaningful journey begins with an inspiration. The journey of Rasikam began with the timeless vision of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Śrīla Prabhupāda, the Founder-Ācārya of ISKCON.
Śrīla Prabhupāda taught that food is much more than nourishment — it is an expression of love when first prepared with devotion and offered to Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa. He encouraged the establishment of prasādam restaurants as places where people could naturally experience Kṛṣṇa consciousness through delicious sanctified food.
In one of his letters, he wrote that a Hare Kṛṣṇa restaurant serving excellent prasādam would be deeply appreciated and could attract countless people to spiritual life. He often reminded his followers that the goal was never merely to serve vegetarian food, but to distribute Kṛṣṇa prasādam The Lord’s mercy.
